Renovation of day-care center "Dinoko"

The Dinoko Day Care Center is located in the densely populated township of Zandspruit, Johannesburg in South Africa. Although the 85 children had a roof over their heads, it rained constantly inside and in the hot summer and cold winter months playing and learning was not feasible. There was only one toilet used by adults and children alike and it had no door. Together with Stiftung JAM Schweiz the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation laid a brick building with well-ventilated and insulated rooms. Furthermore, enough toilets were built and learning as well as play equipment for the children was provided.
