Thanks to our support, a long-awaited child-friendly loft was built in the chill-out room at the children's home Kinderhaus Paradies and furnished with comfortable furniture to create an additional retreat for the children to relax and increase their well-being.
This is the case for 8-year-old Mila, who regularly visits the children's house and loves to use the chill-out room with her friends. Before the loft was completed, they used a homemade cupboard as a “cave” to play and relax in, but it was very cramped and not ideal. With the new level, Mila and her friends now have plenty of space for playing together or enjoying quiet moments. They are also looking forward to the next children's house sleepover, when they will be able to set up a cozy camp on the mezzanine.
The children's home Kinderhaus Paradies run by IB Südwest gGmbH is an open children's and youth facility for girls and boys aged 6 to 12. A wide range of activities take place both inside and outside the facility, catering to the different interests and circumstances of the children in the neighborhood and promoting their development.
