The meeting point soup kitchen Bad Doberan of the Ev.-Luth. The parish of Bad Doberan entertains young guests during the school year and offers school internships for children who are looking for professional orientation or want to get involved. Every Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Soup Kitchen Meeting Point offers two open invitations – one to eat and the other to work. Everyone is welcome at the meeting point, no matter what age or social background they come from. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the “Warm Meals for Children” project as part of the employee Christmas bonus.
All children will find laid tables so that they do not have to ask for the food and everyone is served. This promotes the self-esteem of the guests and strengthens the skills of the interns and helpers. 25 to 30 children receive such a warm meal every day. After the long lockdown period in October 2020, everyone was happy about the welcome change and the sense of community.
