Together with UNICEF Croatia, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation and SIXT Franchisee Croatia supported children with disabilities as part of the UNICEF project “All future needs opportunities”.
The project was presented to the foundation by Croatian SIXT employee Ivan Škabić and focuses on the establishment and expansion of daycare centers as well as the introduction of psychosocial group support for children with disabilities in the country. Only one in three children with disabilities in Croatia has access to supervised daycare and psychological help. The UNICEF project enables care from therapists, nurses and social workers, so that parents can also receive help with everyday problems and the children can be fully integrated into social structures.
“We are very pleased that the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation is generously supporting us in supporting children with disabilities in Croatia. It is a great contribution to providing these children and their families with the necessary resources and support, thereby helping to improve their quality of life.” – Žana Hinek, Corporate Fundraising Officer at UNICEF
