Education for refugee children

Girl Power. Support from the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS and ora Kinderhilfe international e.V has made it possible to open a preschool facility and a primary school area in Lebanon for refugee children from Syria. This increases the chances of education for girls in particular.

“Girls often have a very low status in the family, particularly if they have brothers. In many Muslim families from Syria, it still tends to be the boys who are allowed to go to school.” explains Myrna, a teacher in the educational center.” With the help of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation there is a step in the right direction.
