Education and Activity Room at the SCMCI Surgical Department

The Schneider Children's Medical Center is one of the leading children's hospitals in Israel with its extensive range of paediatric medicine services. Many children miss school classes during the treatment phase and are torn out of their usual social and emotional environment. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation opened an educational and recreation room at the Department of Surgery. This way, the children are able to receive further school attendance by qualified teachers during their treatment phase. Additionally, the recreational activities for young patients were expanded by specially trained clowns as well as music and art therapists.
