The MANNA Maria daycare center in Berlin, a facility run by Malteser Hilfe e.V., opened its doors in July 2022 in a renovated old villa. However, the outdoor facilities lacked age-appropriate play equipment for the youngest children.
This problem was tackled in collaboration with the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation. The project to design the garden area for children aged 1.5 to 2.5 years started in fall 2021. New play equipment was selected, ordered and installed within a year.
Today the garden area offers the little ones a safe and stimulating place to play and explore. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS continues to work to ensure that all children have access to similar areas that promote their development and make their play easier.
