Barrier-free playground for kindergarten

The Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS financed the installation of barrier-free play and exercise equipment on a playground for the children of the Pabst Johannes day-care center in Düsseldorf. Children with and without disabilities from the age of zero to six years are looked after comprehensively in the day-care center. Active and creative interaction with the environment supports the development of children's senses in the long term. Social qualities such as team spirit and consideration are also promoted through playing together and experiencing things together. The new playground equipment is used by blind children, children with social and emotional disabilities who cannot regulate their body awareness, and children who are not disabled. These include a trampoline, climbing frames and a rope course.
