A look behind the scenes of the Bavarian State Opera

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS repeatedly invites children to experience the BAVARIAN STATE OPERA. The aim is to introduce children to opera and ballet in a playful way. Among others, the children of the Erika-Sixt-Kindergarten were invited to take a look behind the scenes.

On two exciting mornings, the little ones learned a lot about the BAVARIAN STATE OPERA. On their first visit, they enjoyed a child-friendly tour of the opera. The children learned interesting historical details and examined some frighteningly real-looking props, were shown fascinating costumes and tried on real ballerina shoes. The children were particularly impressed by the 30 meter high backstage area. Their highlight, however, as the group found out excitingly, were the folding chairs in the parquet.

On the second visit, the children were able to experience a musical theater piece. They were completely captivated by the children's production "How the fish found the sea" and, with sparkling eyes, they followed the piece on stage with full attention and swayed to the music.
