ora Kinderhilfe international e.V. has been committed to education, health, hope and a future for children since 1981 and is currently active in 12 countries and 40 project locations. To provide sustainable help for self-help, the organization also supports parents and enables them to provide for their own family's needs. The organization is also active in disaster relief.
ORA International Moldova runs several children's centers in the Republic of Moldova. The "Walkerhaus" children's center in Chiperceni has been offering children a second home where they can experience a sense of security and community since 2010. At the heart of the center is the main room, where the children can do their homework with educational support and take part in educational and leisure activities.
The room was in urgent need of renovation. The leaking roof was not protected from the weather, rainwater was seeping in and running along the ceiling lights and power cables. An unacceptable situation for the children and staff at the center. Thanks to the support of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation, the old roof could be completely replaced and the ceiling covered with new insulation material. Old electrical wiring and cables were also replaced. This not only created a warmer and more comfortable atmosphere, but above all a safer environment for the children and staff.
