SOS Villages d’Enfants France is committed to protecting children without parental care and children from disadvantaged families in France and around the world. The SOS Children's Village Carros accommodates 45 children who are cared for in a social-educational setting by a multidisciplinary team in the community center.
As part of the renovation of the community center, an unused shower room was converted into a soundproof telephone room. This telephone bubble enables children to have "mediated telephone calls" with their parents outside of their living environment and in the presence of a professional.
In addition, the kitchen in the community building was renovated and redesigned to create an inviting space for family visits. This family room enables exchanges outside of the children's living space in a neutral setting.
