The Regine Sixt Children´s Aid Foundation in cooperation with "Ein Herz für Kinder" (A heart for children), supported the reconstruction of a kindergarten and a school after the earthquake in January 2010. Through the earthquake in January 2010, both the school and the kindergarden La Garenne have been completely destroyed. Before the earthquake, a total of 290 children were taken care of, with the help of 12 teachers. The project was aimed at the reconstruction of the school and the kindergarden. Because the state did not provide financial support and the parents were unable to pay the monthly school fee, they turned to "A Heart for Children" and the Regine Sixt child support with the request for support.
