The parents' association Asociación de Padres y Madres de Alumnos del Colegio la Inmaculada Hijas de Jesús de Bilbao " Jesuitinas " (AMPA Jesuitinas Bilbao) conveys values such as respect, integration and social inclusion and is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals.
Thanks to our support, the Colegio Jesuitinas Bilbao La Inmaculada de Bilbao school has been able to equip a Snoezelen room for pupils with and without disabilities, i.e. a multi-sensory room with a ball pool and vibrating waterbeds, light sources, projectors and many other multi-sensory elements. In this new room, the cognitive development of children with special educational needs can be supported individually and by teachers officially trained in the Snoezelen method.
Inga Aguirreamalloa, mother of a pupil: "My 12 year old daughter has autism and is 95 % disabled. I would like to thank you very much because it is really very important for her to have the opportunity with this fantastic Snoezelen room at school. You may not know what it means to me that she can have weekly therapy during school hours. That's great."
