New children's grief support group in Traunreut helps children cope with bereavement

In Traunreut, grieving children can now receive professional support in coping with their difficult life situation. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS has made possible the establishment of a new Lacrima children's grief support group by the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. Regionalverband München and has financed the complete equipment for the rented premises as well as extensive play, craft and creative materials.

The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. has been active in charitable and social sectors for over 70 years and already successfully operates the Lacrima center for grieving children in Munich as well as other children's facilities such as the Dominik-Brunner-Haus for children from socially disadvantaged families.

In the new grief support group, children find a safe space to process their feelings and connect with other affected children. Through playful and creative approaches, they learn to cope with their grief and find new hope. Books and age-appropriate materials help them understand and express difficult emotions. In this way, children receive the support they need during their most difficult time to find their way through grief.
