At the beginning of July 2024, the Okhmatdyt State Children's Hospital in Kyiv was partially and severely damaged by bombing. A catastrophe for the children who were being treated there at the time and their families. Many seriously ill children had to be evacuated at short notice. 37 of these seriously ill children were placed in the municipal Kyiv Children's Hospital No. 1.
The hospital was able to take in these children, but it lacks the necessary medical equipment to provide the necessary care and operations. Through Life Bridge Ukraine gGmbH, we received a list of urgently needed instruments and equipment compiled by the Kyiv city administration. These were made available to the children's hospital immediately. This has already significantly improved the situation for the children.
