Sports equipment and tutoring give Parisian children new perspectives

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS supports children and young people from low-income families in Paris by financing futsal equipment and materials for a comprehensive educational program. Futsal is a fast-paced indoor football variant with five players per team that particularly promotes ball control and quick decision-making.

In collaboration with the Sporting Club de Paris, one of France's most successful futsal clubs, the young participants receive both athletic and academic support. The innovative program combines futsal training with weekly tutoring and teaches important life skills.

The foundation financed complete training equipment such as jerseys, shorts and balls as well as school materials, digital aids and educational games for homework assistance. Additionally, transportation and logistics costs are covered so that all children can easily move between schools and venues and participate in educational trips.

The Sporting Club de Paris uses its six national titles and years of experience to promote social integration through targeted training programs. The project sustainably strengthens the children's self-confidence, develops their social skills and prevents school dropouts. At the same time, positive role models emerge in Parisian neighborhoods that encourage other children.
