Emergency Aid in Nepal

In April and May 2015, several large earthquakes occurred in Kathmandu and its surrounding valleys. More than 8,000 people died and over 22,000 were injured in the landslides and collapsed homes. It was the biggest disaster in the history of Nepal. Immediately after the earthquake, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation worked with the Malteser to send blankets and tents to the region.
