For the 21st time, Regine Sixt and theRegine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS gave children a great day of fun at the Munich Oktoberfest. The event started at Café Theres with Bavarian food, a clown, a balloon modeller and music and ended with a stroll around the festival grounds and its attractions. Among the participants were children from Munich and the surrounding area, including the Munich Orphanage, the Pfennigparade Foundation, the German Heart Centre Munich, the Munich Schwabing Clinic and the Dominik Brunner House. Numerous Ukrainian refugee children were also present, for whom the Bavarian cultural experience was a very special one.
Since many sick children could not attend the Oktoberfest in the current situation, hospitals also received special visits, as they did in the last two years during the pandemic. Ms. Sixt and the team from the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING TEARS brought Wiesn atmosphere to the small patients in the AtemReich, in the Ronald McDonald House in Großhadern and in the heart center, Klinikum Großhadern and Klinikum Harlaching. They brought gifts, gingerbread, a clown and even an organ grinder and made the day a very special experience for the little patients.
