On the occasion of World Children's Day on November 20, the team from the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation invited all SIXT countries to take part in the first SIXT Initiatives Marathon for the benefit of socially disadvantaged children worldwide. Numerous countries have carried out wonderful - Covid-19-compliant - activities together with their local partner organizations, a selection of which we would like to show here.
SIXT Italy organized both an entertainment program with professional circus artists for children from the primary school "Scuola Rinnovata", as well as an "Game of the Goose" outdoors on the "Trotter Farm" in Milan. Together with its local partner Alder Hey in Liverpool, SIXT UK donated a number of craft kits, including money boxes to paint yourself and coloring books for the hospital's children. SIXT USA worked with the City of Fort Lauderdale to organize the Action for Literacy, where free books were distributed to children from the local community, and DRYING LITTLE TEARs volunteers read to the children and play funny word games. SIXT Spain visited the Fundación Mater, which looks after children with disabilities in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Palma, and decorated Christmas trees with the children to create a Christmas atmosphere in the educational center. For the children of Ministerios de Amor in Monterrey, SIXT Mexico organized a painting campaign on the subject of “What makes you happy?” With answers such as nature, superhero films, pizza, singing and reading. SIXT Pakistan visited an orphanage of the SOS Children's Village in Lahore and played cricket, soccer and badminton with the children, handing out gift bags and a healthy lunch. SIXT Greece has made a Renault Clio Sport Tourer available to Ark of the World to enable a greater number of children under the care of the organization to be safely brought to their schools and after-school activities by their host families. In addition, SIXT Lithuania spent an afternoon at the Maltese daycare center in Kaunas to present new cars and play some games.
The team of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation would like to thank the SIXT countries for their commitment to the benefit of disadvantaged children worldwide!
