"Regines Kinderwasen"" celebrates its premiere

On October 7th, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation "Tränchen Trocknen" (Drying Tears) for the first time gave seriously ill children a carefree day at the Cannstatter Wasen. Around 30 young guests from clinics in southern Germany came to Cannstatt near Stuttgart and experienced a varied programme at the popular public festival together with their companions.

The colourful programme started at 11 a.m. with a magician, balloon modeller and music to entertain the little guests - and of course a refreshment with regional delicacies was not to be missed. In the afternoon, the program continued with a stroll through the fair to visit the rides and snack on sweets. So that the day would be remembered for a long time, the children also received small gifts as souvenirs.

"Regines Kinderwasen" premieres this year. Thus, the more than 20-year-old tradition of "Regines Kinderwiesn" at the Munich Oktoberfest will be extended to public festivals in other German cities for the first time. In November another event will follow at the Hamburg Cathedral.

Regine Sixt: After the eventful Kinderwiesn at this year's Oktoberfest, it is a great pleasure for me to present the premiere of "Regines Kinderwasen" in Cannstatt and give many little guests a carefree day away from the daily routine of the clinic and put a smile on their faces. It is the essential task of my Kinderhilfe Stiftung to help children in need and to enable them to lead a fulfilled life. I would like to thank all helpers and sponsors - especially the Renoldi family - who made this "Kinderwasen" premiere possible with us".
