Playground for Kindergarten HaMamzi
The Regine Sixt Foundation together with the Jerusalem Foundation built a new playground for the HaMamzi kindergartens in Har Homa in the south of Jerusalem. They are attended by 70 toddlers. The playgrounds belonging to the kindergartens no longer met the safety standards. That is why the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the new building project. For more than four decades, the Jerusalem Foundation has been committed to equal opportunities and the establishment of sustainable coexistence in the social, educational and cultural spheres in Israel. It looks back on many years of partnerships with the numerous population groups of Jerusalem and works for the good of all - the Jewish and the Arab population. Almost ten percent of Israel's more than eight million inhabitants, live in the capital Jerusalem. The neighborhoods directly adjacent to each other are home to about 496,000 Jews (65 percent) and about 268,000 Arabs (35 percent). The Arab-Israeli conflict, which has lasted for decades, puts pressure on the tensions between the communities and also on the lives of the families and children from the region.
