New equipment for a special kindergarten and day nursery

Mongolia has a shortage of facilities, expert counselling and treatment for physically and mentally disabled children and young people. In most cases, children and young people with disabilities are cared for at home by family members. Together with the Mongolian Circle of Friends Association, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation is seeking to help advance the development and support provided for disabled children in Mongolia. New games and play equipment were needed by a special kindergarten and day nursery in the capital Ulanbaatar. Also purchased, in addition to this, were a workbench, rocking horses, new floor coverings and mats for some areas, musical equipment as well as specialist seating with tables and therapeutic standing frames for children who are unable to stand and need support when sitting.
