The Hesse West regional association of the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe supports people of all ages in difficult life situations - "out of love for life". This also includes supporting children who are grieving the loss of a parent or sibling. In the Lacrima bereavement center in Wiesbaden, these children are supported through various stages of grief and receive help in processing their feelings.
The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS supported the redesign of the Lacrima room and the conversion of the materials room. The rooms were painted and decorated in a child-friendly manner, new furniture and storage options were installed and a snoezel corner was integrated.
In this newly created feel-good atmosphere, the children can now better deal with their grief and process the loss they have suffered while playing, painting and romping.
