Before its renovation, the playground was partly dilapidated and therefore no longer safe. In a joint project, Malteser and the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation renovated it.
Some of the playground equipment was repaired, others replaced. In addition, the playground was also made barrier-free in the course of the redesign, so that children in wheelchairs can now play together with the other children. The completely renovated playground now also has suitable swings, slides and a small climbing castle for the youngest children. The playground is a focal point for many families in Szeged and strengthens the sense of community.
