Thanks to the support of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation, Sonneninsel has been able to sustainably expand its services for children with cancer and their families, thus creating new impulses for recreation, creativity and shared experiences.
In addition to the complete redesign and furnishing of two family rooms, equipment was also purchased for musical and creative activities as well as for further indoor and outdoor leisure activities, including stargazing. This contributes to the quality and diversity of care at Sonneninsel in the long term, strengthens the emotional and social development of the children and supports the whole family on the road to recovery and aftercare.
