The German Red Cross saves people, helps in emergencies, offers people a community and supports the poor and needy. In Rostock, the German Red Cross is active, among other things, for the medical service and disaster control of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In cases such as evacuations due to bomb disposal, war or natural disasters, the rapid response group also takes care of the care of children who are taken into care and looked after in emergency situations if the parents are not completely able to do so. The children are provided with the most necessary things in life in the first few days and the foundation has financed the equipment with games and numerous activity opportunities to look after the children in different age groups.
