The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the 'Sonnenschein' day care center in Anklam, East Pomerania, in building a family garden to promote family structures, responsible living and healthy nutrition. The foundation helped building a garden house and vegetable patch as a meeting and learning place for disadvantaged families who grow vegetables, cook and spend time together. This provides impulses for healthy nutrition and supports the participants in learning the structure and liabilities.
