As it has become a tradition in the past years, Regine Sixt, Chairwoman of the Board of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation "Tränchen Trocknen" (Drying Little Tears), visited many little patients in Munich hospitals again in 2019 and gave them a pre-Christmas break from their daily clinic routine. She received support from prominent surprise guests. Together with them, Regine Sixt visited the patients of the paediatric cardiology department at the Klinikum München Großhadern, the Deutsches Herzzentrum München and the Ronald McDonald Haus at the Deutsches Herzzentrum.
The prominent visitors not only distributed small gifts such as games and cuddly toys, but also read a Christmas story to the young patients. And of course, the children were allowed to ask their guests everything that was close to their hearts.
Also in the Children's Hospital Munich Schwabing and in the Dr. von Haunerschen Children's Hospital, many little patients were able to enjoy a pre-Christmas surprise visit. Of course, a Santa Claus, presents and the Christmas story were not to be missed.
Regine Sixt: "Many of the young patients we visited are seriously ill. As bravely as these boys and girls defend themselves against their illness, they are happy to be distracted from the daily hospital routine. That's why I personally care so much about these annual Christmas visits."
Following the Christmas visits to Munich, SIXT employees continued the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation's "Tränchen Trocknen" initiative throughout Germany.
