On the occasion of World Children's Day on November 20th, the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS called for participants to take part in the 2022 Marathon Initiative. All over the world, SIXT employees have organized trips for children, planned pre-Christmas campaigns or made generous donations to children's homes.

SIXT Armenia visited the SOS Children's Village Kotay and brought sweets to the children. For some families, they had household appliances such as washing machines and irons with them. In Mexico, SIXT employees spent time with the children of the MAMA A.C. center to build a traditional “altar de muertos”. The SIXT Slovenia team visited the Children's Hospital in Ljubljana to support the Society for Helping Children with Immune Diseases. They were there for one day to shorten the long hours in the hospital for children. In addition to books, a financial contribution was also donated to the hospital library, which can be used for various purposes in the field of correct and timely diagnosis of immune diseases, research and more.

In Sofia, SIXT Bulgaria visited a safe home for children and not only distributed gifts there. The team has undertaken painting work to make the second floor rooms and stairwell look like new again. SIXT Lithuania organized a fun culinary afternoon for children from a Malteser Children's Day Care Centre. After pizza and other delicacies, there were gifts for all children and together we had a nice afternoon with games and conversations.
