Help for children from Ukraine in Israel

Israel has taken in 120 orphans who were evacuated from the Alumim children's home in Zhitomir run by the Chabad organisation. The children, aged between 2 and 12 years, were rescued by the Chabad organisation from the current situation in Ukraine.

After a journey of almost one and a half weeks from Ukraine to Romania, the children arrived in Tel Aviv and were welcomed by the Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. At the request of the Chabad organisation, SIXT Israel provided vans free of charge. SIXT Israel supports this organisation throughout the year and will continue to assist with any needs they may have for the refugees. The Chabad organisation supports the Jewish population worldwide.

Shluchim in Eretz Yisroel are working tirelessly to ensure that the children are housed in a kosher environment and receive the same chinuch they received in Ukraine. The children will stay in Israel until the situation in Ukraine is safe enough for them.
