Last week, SIXT's Fulfillment employees held a wonderful DRYING LITTLE TEARS Day at the Zauberwald shelter near Munich. The institution provides a home and psychological care for children who no longer have a safe environment in their families.
The team built two raised beds for vegetables in the home's garden. Thanks to the team's craftsmanship, the children can now learn about gardening and harvest and enjoy fresh produce themselves. The team also mowed the lawn, removed weeds and prepared for the installation of a new trampoline. Some colleagues were also able to demonstrate their skills as bicycle mechanics and perform an inspection on the children's bikes. The children immediately took their bikes for a spin! Things got really creative when the wall was embellished with an "enchanted forest" motif, where the team of UX designers in particular lived out their creativity. It turned out just great, see for yourself!
The division's conclusion: "We really appreciated the opportunity to get involved with a good cause while working outdoors in an interactive team environment. Seeing the joy on the kids' faces when they came to see what we built for them was the best reward we could have asked for."
