For the 22nd time, Regine Sixt and her Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS invited around 150 children from Munich and the surrounding area to the Munich Oktoberfest. The little guests from various social and medical institutions (e.g. Munich Orphanage, German Heart Center, KfH Children's Kidney Center Schwabing and many more) were offered an exciting program at the world-famous Oktoberfest. The children and their carers spent wonderful hours in the Schützenfestzelt, where there were savory and sweet delicacies and clowns, magicians and organ grinders provided entertainment. They then strolled through Oktoberfest, explored rides and had fun at the game booths. The Oktoberfest backpacks full of gifts provided the perfect finishing touch!
Children from institutions who were unable to attend the Oktoberfest themselves were then visited with gifts and gingerbread hearts. Employees of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation brought a bit of an Oktoberfest atmosphere to the Ronald McDonald Houses in Munich-Großhadern and next to the heart center, to the Großhadern Children's Cardiology Clinic and to the Munich Harlaching Clinic.
"Regine's Kinderwiesn is very close to my heart. For many years, we have been inviting children to the Munich Oktoberfest to dance, laugh and have fun together. It always gives me great pleasure to put a smile on the faces of children in difficult situations through this unique event," says Regine Sixt, founder of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation.
