Vice President Sixt Italy Massimiliano Maini, in cooperation with the organisation "Unione Volontari per I'nfanzia", collected over five tonnes of food, blankets, solar chargers and medicines. This was driven to the Polish-Ukrainian border in three vans provided by SIXT Italy and the Regine Sixt Kinderhilfe Stiftung TRÄNCHEN TROCKNEN. Massimiliano Maini travelled almost 3,000 km over four days to deliver the relief supplies where they were needed most. The helpers at the initial reception centre took over the relief goods full of gratitude.
In a former shopping centre and a tent city that is now growing larger and larger, all arriving refugees are cared for. From there they have the possibility to travel further, many aid organisations offer free bus rides.
