Support for children affected by conflict in Bamenda, Cameroon
How you can help
Together with Malteser International, we support a project for children affected by conflict in Bamenda, in north-west Cameroon. A safe house is currently being built, which is intended to provide a secure shelter for internally displaced persons and economically disadvantaged children in particular. Children should not only find a place to play there, but also be able to forget for a moment the traumatic experiences they had to go through when they were young. In addition, children there have the opportunity to catch up on school failures and receive education. Since the education system is a primary target of attacks in the Anglophone crisis, this aspect is particularly important to us.
The construction of the Safe House should not be a one-off help, but we want to help in the long term.
