The WHIM Outreach Community Center is a contact point for over 6,000 people in the Speightstown region and offers advice and sports activities as well as a place for many children to learn and play. Employees supervise project work for children so that they can learn through play how they can achieve a lot together as a group. This strengthens the community in the long term.
With the support of the expansion, a new playground was built next to the WHIM Community Center in Barbados. It was also possible to equip the center with furniture.
"The employees of the WHIM Community Center do a great job! They enable many children to develop their personalities in a calm and peaceful environment. I am delighted that by supporting WHIM we can support a project for the benefit of the children of Barbados!", Regine Sixt.
