The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the construction and renovation of the Maltese special kindergarten for seriously disabled children in Cluj in cooperation with the Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V.. In the special kindergarten in Cluj, children with severe physical disabilities as well as their families are taken care of. Here they receive comprehensive therapy, education and training independence while parents receive pedagogic and social assistance. Thanks to thr foundations´ financial support, it was possible to renovate the building and parts of the interior, as well as to build a playground suitable for the disabled. The expansion allows the professionals to care for the children professionally and to integrate them into the community. In 2014, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation also equipped the special kindergarten with computers and other electronic devices.
