“Action for a United World e.V.” has renovated the rooms in the social center and in the process the foundation has provided the equipment for the new games library and playroom. The social center is a central point of contact for the local community. Children receive help with their homework so that they can build their own lives outside the slum.
Thanks to the equipment for the toy library, the children now have access to books, educational games and resources, as well as didactic materials to promote learning and cognitive development. All in a new friendly and safe environment with comfortable furniture. Additional uses include special workshops, community events, and educational activities for children tailored to different age groups. Local teachers and helpers receive support from numerous volunteers who regularly travel from Germany to Mexico City.
