300,000 people homeless. On September 7th in 2017, an earthquake measuring 8.2 struck ten states in Mexico. Together with the Save the Children aid organisation, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation assisted 32,000 children and young people as well as 68,000 mothers, parents teachers and other adults in the rebuilding of infrastructure and accommodation in their local areas. key support priorities are the main aspects of child protection, returning to school and education, replacement of hygiene infrastructure and the restoration and renovation of buildings. This also includes everyday things such as toys for small children and school bags for the older ones.
