Fundraising campaign in Northern Ireland

Sentebale is a charity founded in 2006 by The Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso after Prince Harry traveled to Lesotho in 2004. It supports the mental health and well-being of children and young people affected by HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation has already supported the organization with a donation of 120 sleeping bags for the children housed in the camp in Botswana.

During the last few months when the warehouse was closed due to the corona pandemic, David McCulla, Managing Director of SIXT Rent a car Northern Ireland, decided to support Sentebale, spoke to the organization and found out that they had a vehicle for their transport Employees in Botswana would need.

As planned fundraising drives in Northern Ireland could not take place in recent months, David McCulla decided to buy the vehicle on his own and fundraisers later that year when the events can resume.

He will now ship the vehicle registered in Northern Ireland on behalf of the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation in Botswana to the headquarters of Sentebale in Botswana. Before that, however, he will drive the vehicle across the UK to some key suppliers to raise funds, meet with suppliers and finally drop the vehicle off at the port.
