Munich orphanage children score at Euroleague basketball game

At a Euroleague basketball game earlier this year between FC Bayern Basketball and AS Monaco, the children from the Munich orphanage were the real stars of the evening. As part of the One Team program, which focuses on social inclusion, the children receive regular basketball training and take part in team-building activities with FC Bayern Basketball coaches. The highlight of their season, however, was getting to play on the court at SAP Gardens in front of more than 11,000 cheering fans!

Their joy was obvious – “My children scored two baskets and I almost cried because they were so happy,” said Mrs. Breu, director of the Munich orphanage.

In addition to the game, there was a stand from the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation in the SAP Garden, where fans could learn more about the foundation's work and win great prizes from FC Bayern Basketball and SIXT. It was an unforgettable evening for everyone involved!
