School renovation in Katulu Village

Improving educational opportunities for 109 children annually

Katulu Village is located in the Kitui region of Kenya. The village is severely affected by drought, poverty, malnutrition and water shortages. Our partners Welthungerhilfe and Stiftung stern are working on various projects in Kenya to improve the living conditions of the people. In addition to projects such as sustainable food security by supporting small farming families with the help of innovative cultivation methods, they also implement education projects. This is because access to education is of fundamental importance in the long term. Through education, people have the opportunity to improve their skills, gain new perspectives and build a better future together. Education forms the basis for individual and collective growth and plays an important role in promoting sustainable development in the rural region of Kitui.

#656 Katuli Village

The Nzou Muonza Primary School in Katulu Village is in an extremely poor condition and faces the following challenges:

  • Inadequate infrastructure: The school often cannot be used during the rainy season.
  • Hygiene problems: There are major hygiene problems due to the lack of drinking water.
  • Lack of facilities: There is no school kitchen, which affects pupils' nutrition.

Following the successful completion of the school building project in Kinakoni, we are delighted that we now have the opportunity to improve the lives of other children in Kenya together with Welthungerhilfe and the Stiftung stern through the renovation of the primary school in Katulu Village.

Our mission to bring education and hope to disadvantaged communities continues. The school renovation in Katulu Village is another step in this journey and I am convinced that the 109 students who will benefit from it have a promising future ahead of them.
