The residential center “Hogar de vida” in Costa Rica cares for abandoned and abused children between the ages of 0 and 10. Children in this transitional facility receive both medical and emotional support to regain mental and physical security. The goal is to offer the children a friendly and safe temporary home. Here they can feel safe and secure until they are strong and confident enough to move to a care institution or a foster family.

A total of 35 children live in the facility. The “activity room” gives them the space to play, read, and be creative. As part of an extensive renovation and expansion plan, this area of the facility will become a place where the children receive support in their development and have plenty of space to play. Thanks to the financial support from the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation, this project has now been completed and a new “Children’s Activity Center“ was created.

The existing buildings were expanded and equipped for various age groups. Now it’s possible for younger children to play on interactive wall equipment and the older children to play soccer on the new field.

[13
post-1700","alle_projekte","type-alle_projekte","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","projekte-fuersorge
["GET
