Music lessons for children in Italy
In the heart of Tuscany, in Montepulciano, students go to school with their instruments from the age of seven and are taught by professional music teachers from the "Music Institute Henze" in addition to the normal school routine.
For several years now the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation, together with the Fondazione Cantiere in Montepulciano, has been supporting projects in order to teach children at all of Montepulciano's schools to learn to play an instrument in addition to their normal lessons..
In 2019 the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported the project "Musica insieme" of the Fondazione Cantiere. The idea: to be able to offer individual and group music lessons to pupils in the new school year 2019/2020. Four hours a week the children should be able to learn different instruments like piano, guitar and drums or sing in a children's choir.
