Support for the building of a health clinic
We supported the construction of a health care facility. In a former missionary station near Mayumba in the hinterland of Gabon in Central Africa, the Regine Sixt Children's Aids Foundation together with Monsignor Prof. Dr. Schmitz (Institut Christus König) co-financed the construction of a small health care facility. There the children are given first aid in medical emergencies as well as regular medical care. Malaria and various other diseases transmitted by insects are still a serious threat in Gabon. Leprosy and tuberculosis are also treated. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation has funded this project and is making an important contribution to improving the medical care of the children in Mayumba and the surrounding area.
