New rooms for home schooling

Medical Attention for children. Medical attention for children. In a former mission station near Mayumba in the back country of the equatorial African Gabon, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation, together with Monsignor Prof. Dr. Schmitz from the Christ König Institute co-financed the construction of a small health facility . There, the children are given first aid in medical emergencies and regular medication is provided. Because malaria and other insect-transfered ague are still a serious threat there. Cases of leprosy and tuberculosis are also treated.

In addition, the rooms of the small health center offer the opportunity for the children the continuous support with their homework and thus enable them to get an education despite the severe impairment caused by the diseases.

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation provided significant support for this aid project and thus makes an important contribution to improving medical and preschool care for children in Mayumba and the surrounding area.
