New playground for children in refugee accommodation

The Johanniter run two refugee accommodations in Paderborn, in which many people who have fled Ukraine are housed. Next to one of these buildings there was a large unused open space that had previously been used as a play area.

In order to ensure the best possible care for the children beyond the basic income support, the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS in the construction of a play and leisure facility. The new playground should offer children the opportunity to forget traumatic experiences, at least for a certain time. The children can let off steam on the new sand building and climbing frame and they have the opportunity to relax in the new playhouse.
