As part of the employee Christmas bonus, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supported an SOS Children's Village in Sarajevo. Children who are accommodated in the houses there have no parents or could no longer be cared for at home. Many of the children come from families who live in poverty. Regular donations are needed to ensure that the children receive enough food and clothing. They also provide hygiene supplies, school supplies and medical care for the children.
There is currently no state aid and the children would otherwise live on the streets, as there is no social housing or social support for families affected by poverty. Therefore, the financial support of the SOS Children's Villages is an important aspect for the children so that they can go to school. This gives them a chance for a better life and a secure future.
