The 'Music for Students' project has been implemented by the 'International Foundation for the Promotion of Culture and Civilization' at 17 music centers in Germany since 1998.
The e-pianos donated by the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS have decisively improved the practice situation at 17 project schools throughout Germany. The schools and music centers make the e-pianos available to the students for practicing and playing, and especially lend them to needy children so that they can play the piano at home. The possibility of being able to play and practice at home at any time brings joy and success in playing the piano. In this way, the children stay "on" and making music is anchored as a permanent purpose in the children's lives with all the positive effects.
Children in special schools are inspired by classical music concerts and by making music themselves. In addition, making music is made possible with low thresholds and is permanently implemented in schools. Cultural education and participation is thus made possible for children who otherwise would not have access to music. Most of the students in special needs schools come from socio-economically very difficult backgrounds. In addition to enjoying music and making music, the electric piano teaches important everyday skills, enables recognition and success and thus strengthens your personal development. The school climate and the perception of the school from the outside is improved in the long term, which has an effect on the students and in turn strengthens their identification with the social environment of the school.
