The Dominik-Brunner-Hause of the Johanniter Order is an institution for socially disadvantaged children and teenagers living in Munich. The house offers children from the age of one to sixteen years a caring and educationally important support. The offer includes a nursery and a kindergarten as well as afternoon care for school children up to grade 10.
The aim is to support the children in their development to be prepared and strengthened for their further and independent life. Particular importance is placed on reliable relationships, clear daily structures and educational support.
In times of the Corona Pandemic and "home schooling", children from socially disadvantaged families are often additionally disadvantaged, as their families do not have the equipment to access digital learning content. The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation has addressed this problem and donated 19 used SIXT laptops to the Dominik-Brunner-Hause of the Johanniter Order in Munich.
This will enable the school children of the institution to access digital learning content, to do their homework conscientiously, and to continue participating in class without any restrictions in the coming weeks and also beyond the crisis.
