SIXT colleagues from the UK swapped their usual working day for a DRYING LITTLE TEARS Day and got stuck in together: helping to set up the brand-new Ark Start South Acton nursery in West London, they unloaded, unpacked and assembled furniture – creating the foundation for a place where children can play, learn and grow. The new nursery in the London borough of South Acton offers affordable, high-quality childcare for families in the area, led by qualified educators in an environment that encourages children to develop at their own pace through play, creativity and discovery.
What mattered on this day wasn't grand gestures – it was hands-on work: unpacking boxes, assembling shelves, shaping spaces. Every chair put together, every cupboard filled brings the nursery one step closer to opening its doors – and gives the children and families of South Acton a place that truly belongs to them.
"This was such a rewarding day, and I look forward to contributing to the community in the future," says Chloe Sweeney, Management Placement Student at SIXT UK. The commitment shown by the team proves how much is possible when you simply roll up your sleeves – and that even small actions can make a lasting difference.
